在全球化與科技迅速發展的時代,人類的生活型態與環境暴露模式正在經歷劇烈變革。氣候變遷、工業污染、都市化、飲食結構的改變以及新興化學物質的廣泛應用,使得傳統環境健康研究面臨前所未有的挑戰。過去的研究多關注特定污染物對健康的影響,例如空氣污染、內分泌干擾物、環境賀爾蒙、土壤重金屬等,但這種 「單一污染物—單一健康效應」 的研究框架,已無法充分解釋現代社會中 多重環境因子對人類健康的綜合影響。隨著環境風險的日益複雜化,如何運用新興技術與跨學科研究方法,全面解析環境與健康之間的關聯,並將其轉譯為可行的公共政策與醫療策略,已成為全球環境健康與公共衛生領域的重要課題。
In an era of globalization and rapid technological advancement, human lifestyles and environmental exposure patterns are undergoing profound transformations. Climate change, industrial pollution, urbanization, dietary shifts, and the widespread use of emerging chemicals have posed unprecedented challenges to traditional environmental health research. While earlier studies often focused on the effects of specific pollutants—such as air pollution, endocrine disruptors, environmental hormones, or heavy metals—this “one pollutant–one health outcome” framework is no longer sufficient to explain the complex interplay of multiple environmental factors in modern society. As environmental risks become increasingly multifaceted, leveraging emerging technologies and interdisciplinary approaches to comprehensively elucidate the relationships between environment and health—and translating these findings into effective public policies and medical strategies—has become a critical issue in the global fields of environmental health and public health.
近年來,精準醫學(Precision Medicine)的發展為這一挑戰提供了新的契機。精準醫學強調透過基因體學(Genomics)、暴露體學(Exposomics)、代謝體學(Metabolomics)、毒理基因體學(Toxicogenomics)等多層次生物技術,來解析個體在不同環境暴露條件下的健康風險與疾病機制。這種方法不僅能幫助我們理解環境因素如何影響 基因表現、免疫功能、內分泌調控及代謝途徑,還能進一步提供個體化的 疾病預防與健康管理策略,以實現從「環境暴露」到「精準健康」的轉譯應用。
In recent years, the rise of precision medicine has provided new opportunities to address these emerging challenges. Precision medicine emphasizes the use of multi-omics technologies—such as Genomics, Exposomics, Metabolomics, and Toxicogenomics—to unravel individual health risks and disease mechanisms under various environmental exposures. This approach not only enhances our understanding of how environmental factors influence gene expression, immune function, endocrine regulation, and metabolic pathways, but also enables the development of personalized strategies for disease prevention and health management. Ultimately, it advances the translation from “environmental exposure” to “precision health.”
然而,儘管精準醫學的技術已在臨床醫學、癌症研究等領域取得突破,但在環境醫學與公共衛生領域的應用仍處於初步階段,特別是在臺灣,尚缺乏足夠的跨領域合作與政策轉譯機制。因此,如何透過國際學術交流與跨領域整合,加速精準環境醫學的發展,並將研究成果轉化為具體的健康政策與社會應用,成為當前亟待解決的問題。
However, despite the remarkable progress of precision medicine in fields such as clinical medicine and cancer research, its application in environmental medicine and public health remains at an early stage. In Taiwan, in particular, the lack of interdisciplinary collaboration and effective policy translation mechanisms has limited its development. Therefore, fostering international academic exchange and interdisciplinary integration is essential to accelerate the advancement of precision environmental medicine and to translate research findings into concrete health policies and societal applications.
基於此,國家衛生研究院立足於全球視野,規劃前瞻性且融合新興科技、未來趨勢與跨領域合作的概念,於2025年11月舉辦「環境 × 健康 × 未來:精準醫學的跨界新視野」國際研討會(ENVIRONxHEALTH: Shaping the Future of Precision Medicine)。本次研討會將跳脫傳統「污染物為核心」的研究框架,改以「精準環境醫學」為主軸,並透過五大關鍵議題進行深入探討:

Through the sharing and in-depth discussions led by world-renowned scholars, we aim to establish a more comprehensive research framework and strengthen collaboration between Taiwan and the global community in the fields of precision environmental medicine, environmental health risk assessment, public health decision-making, and health management, working together to shape a safer, healthier, and more sustainable future.
