Epidemiology and Exposure Assessment of Air Pollution
New or Recent Methodology in Air Quality Research
Air Quality and Health Effects - Mechanisms and Causal Relationship
Join us for the conference
Air pollution still poses a significant public health, medical and economical problem, as evidenced by the substantial amount of epidemiological and mechanistic data; but, uncertainty exists due, in part, to the variation in the epidemiological evidence, the risk composition, its source and to the heterogeneity in the study populations. Consequently, precision in risk assessment, identification and mitigation has been an elusive goal. Facing this critical challenge and recognizing the existence of an apparent complex network of gene-environmental interaction, the goal of 2021 ISPEM conference is to provide an integrative and multi-disciplinary program to review the current status of, and the future development in, the air quality and health risk assessment, the investigative effort in establishing the causal relationship, and the effort in targeting the mitigation strategy. A distinguished panel of international and domestic scholars is invited to address pertinent issues and the state-of-the-art technologies encompassing environmental epidemiology, exposure science, toxicology, systems biological research, data and analytical science, as well as the translational aspects of air quality and its management. This didactic forum with the gathering of multi-disciplinary experts is hoped to illustrate those intractable issues in our collective understanding of how air quality impact health, and to identify systemic and integrative approaches for ultimately achieving “Precision Environmental Medicine”.
